Farmers Own works with like minded organisations to alleviate
poverty in Kenya.
Poverty is primarily a consequence of economic disempowerment and
therefore in order to improve the lot of the poor the focus must
lie in enabling them to engage in sustainable income
generating activities.
At the same time the secondary effects of poverty need to be
addressed. Without income basic services and amenities such as
health services, water, sanitary services and education cannot be
accessed.
